Meditations VII.9

All things are mutually intertwined,⁹ and the tie is sacred, and scarcely anything is alien the one to the other. For all things have been ranged side by side,¹⁰ and together help to order one ordered Universe. For there is both one Universe, made up of all things, and one God immanent in all things, and one Substance, and one Law, one Reason common to all intelligent creatures,¹¹ and one Truth, if indeed there is also one perfecting of living creatures that have the same origin and share the same reason.
