Meditations VII.17

Well-being²¹ is a good Being, or a ruling Reason that is good. What then doest thou here, O Imagination?²² Avaunt, in God’s name, as thou camest, for I desire thee not! But thou art come according to thine ancient wont. I bear thee no malice; only depart from me!

  Daimōn is the divinity within each person, which Haines renders “genius.”
